Hi guys, this is maybe a strange question, but I was wondering if there's a way to achieve this result: for example by spamming the A button on a controller Dolphin would register A then B then A again and so forth.
Of course without external programs, maybe using some input functions.

I do not believe Dolphin has the ability to do this without external programs.

It is possible. We recently had a change to allow more complex input expressions in the advanced input system, so theoretically it is possible. But I don't actually know how to do it yet so I didn't say anything. But just saying it's impossible is definitely incorrect.

Yeah I tried different functions but nothing appeared to work.
If there was like a flag system, activated on the first keypress to trigger the different input in the second keypress, then deactivated again to retrigger the first input and so on; but there isn't.

While I'm at it, how to you use the timer function? You can only give it an argument for "seconds" and it doesn't let you set a button, as far as I can tell.

Erm, right, I didn't read it carefully enough. Well, I've pinged Billiard with this thread, the one who made these features, and hopefully he can help you. I don't really know how to use the new features either!

Is this for a fighting game? I'm curious why you need such functionality. The only thing I can think of is those old turbo controllers..

Actually I'm making a Skyward Sword profile with joycons (setup with gyro and all), but I wanted to map some movements to the buttons and make it similar to breath of the wild, so you would have to use motion controls only when necessary.
This is just for fun by the way, I already played the game the legit way and I loved it, but I wanted to see how far I could push the profile system.

The specific problem applies when I spam the Y button to swing, if you spam too quickly the game registers a lunge (<- I used google translate, I hope it's the correct word). If I could alternate left and right swing with the same keypress that would fix it.
