Right now here's how my setup works:

(Wiimote was previously paired using Windows's bluetooth utility)
Load Dolphin
Press 1+2
Go to Wiimote - Pair Up
Keep holding 1+2 and waiting for something to happen
Windows begins installing something (a driver?)
Windows finishes installing whatever that was
I press refresh, the Wiimote rumbles, good to go

Isn't there a more direct way of doing this? I mean Windows is constantly installing this "driver", can't it be permanently installed? I'm afraid the batteries will drain if I keep the Wiimote on, so I turn it off when I'm not using. Except when I turn it on again I have to go through that same ordeal. Same applies when simply turning the computer off and on again.

There are times it simply won't work, Windows "forgets" it's paired with the Wiimote and can't find it again. A system restart fixed that.

I'm thinking, maybe there's software out there that acts as a driver for the Wiimote?
I have no sig!

Well this is my way of doing it.

>First once I add a device and go in to dolphin I'm good to go.
>If I want to play later I just load dolpinh and play.
>Now if for some reason dolphin does not see it I do this:
(assuming dolphin is loaded) I hit pair up.
hit ok ( once I can )
close dolphin.
Wait for the device to do is thing ( two tones )
Run dolphin and play

Now its critical to wait for the second tone. The first is device found the second it registers as nintendo.

I see... In my case it goes like the second way, nothing happens when I open Dolphin with the Wiimote turned off. I have to press 1+2 and Pair up, then windows does all those things and finally it gets ready to be used.

I just throught there was a way to make it behave like a real gamepad, like my 360 wireless for instance. I leave it off, but when I want to use it, I turn it on and it's ready to be used in my games. No need to have windows keep installing drivers over and over.

I thought maybe there's third party software out there? Obviously I don't think Nintendo would've made something like that, since it's for the Wii primarialy, not the PC.

No, I think we are at the mercy of the dolphin team. I dont ever loose a connection in windows testing with GlovePIE. Its just dolphin that has trouble for me.

I`ve tried BlueSoleil, which works easier and faster than the windows bluetooth thingy, but i only had the test version, full version costs 20 bucks... which is too expensive for me but i have to say its really good. I`ll stick to the Windows Bluetooth.

Try it with BlueSoleil, it automatically pairs it up in Dolphin.
