Just installed and am trying to run Fire Emblem.

The slowness isn't that big of a deal, but the graphics flash like crazy. I'm not sure if there are a certain set of settings I can look at in order to help improve the performance as well as stop the sound from glitching like crazy.

Thanks!

Let us know what kind of device you are using here.

Main thing is to use the latest version and the appropriate backend for your device.

Vulkan or OpenGL are likely your best bet , Use the overclock settings to underclocking the emulated GameCube/Wii CPU.

Thanks it's the ASUS ZenPad 3S 10 tablet from the other thread.

I don't think I messed with any of the settings because I wasn't familiar with them, just thought I'd shoot out a question to see if there was a good starting point.

The speed isn't necessarily the issue, I can handle a bit of slowness, but the sound being so choppy is crazy.

I'll check out some youtube videos later if I find some.  I did download the latest android version (it's the developer build type thing right?).

Best bet is to give underclocking a try, throttle back the ASUS skin and bloat, and if that fails wait for nougat which will bring ES3.2, updated PowerVR drivers and more than likely vulkan

Go to settings and enable audio stretching
Also Enable Override CPU clock and set clock value to 31% for the best sound for both Fire Emblem games

Do I need to edit the Dolphin.ini at all?

I just did that and it killed everything about the game.  I assume setting the clock value means scaling it back from 100 to 31% underneath the Enable Override CPU

Yep.  You can adjust the cpu clock speed in the settings menu.  So, you don't have to edit the .ini file.

Okay thanks, I'll keep messing around with them.

Right now it's unplayable on this thing, hopefully it's something I'm doing.

Videos run fine, but game play is glitchy as all get out

Yeah that's to be expected really with that low power tablet.

These games are just playable on a Snapdragon 821 device.

The main problem is the extremely poor drivers for that GPU. This will not change as those drivers are up to date they are just poorly implemented.
