Yes. It doesn't exist. Why do you want it?

Sometimes i need to make sure that my FPS are alright.

What we have right now is a mess in the upper left corner that shows a lot of weird things.

As a gamer, i only really want to see my FPS.

The titlebar has speed information in it. You can also show the FPS in the corner of the game display if you want, without "mess".

(this is from my mac but it's the same on Windows)

Yeah, i dont really want my fps to be displayed on the actual gameplay screen.

PJ64 had a simple status bar that showed the fps.

I guess a developer mode that shows all those things in the status bar makes sense, but as a gamer, i only really want to see my fps.

I don't understand... If you want to see a status bar, you have to be playing in Windowed mode. And if you are playing in Windowed, you have our FPS display in the title bar? Not to mention if you are playing in windowed you are eating TONS of screen real estate, far more than a simple on screen FPS display would take, so you are gaining a LOT by going into fullscreen. And if our on screen FPS display is too intrusive for your tastes, just use one from Geforce Experience or steam or fraps or any number of options!

Like, I really don't understand what you are wanting here.

tl;dr: There are plenty of third party solutions to fit your Gamer Needs. We probably won't be changing the OSD or the titlebar, sorry.
