It is fine to ask it here, however I'm not sure how much help we'll be able to provide. Depends on if someone with OBS and Dolphin experience can answer your question. What is the issue you are encountering?

I have a weird issue where it seems in my recordings that I get random frame pacing/fps drops but not in the actual game. I tested a lot of my other library on steam and other emulators and the issue wasn't occurring. I can also send a log file if needed but I went to the OBS discord/forums and OBS Bot said I didn't have any apparent problems with my settings inside of the program which led me to believe I'm encountering an issue with dolphin. I've seen other people record dolphin pretty well so I'm not sure whats up. 06-28-2021, 07:21 PM
Could you post screenshots of both your Dolphin graphics settings and OBS recording settings here please?

I've played around with the settings a couple times, I tried running everything at Standard Res with no enhancements and the same result kept happening in regards to frame timing/fps drops. In OBS I also tried fullscreen game capture and also window capture. 06-29-2021, 07:58 AM
I use default setting for obs including nvenc. I try recording f zero and didn't notice frame drop(only about a minute recording though. The only major difference I notice with you setting is was the last page or the advance I had progressive scan on(checked) and borderless fullscreen off(not checked). Maybe those setting are cause problems. I don't usually recorded video and I don't know what game your try to record so this could be only a fluke that I didn't notice frame drops.

I've tried both of those settings being on and off, i'll give it another try to see if something changes tho 06-29-2021, 08:31 AM

What games have you try, as I said it could be a fluke. f zero gx did usually have a relatively stable framerate compared to some other gamecube\wii games and was progressive scan compatible which could factors. I also don't record or stream dolphin much either.

In OBS, try setting Output > Recording > "Keyframe Interval" to 2 and "Max B-frames" to 2
