I recently downloaded Dolphin and ripped Paper Mario TTYD and Pikmin 2 to play on my PC. The problem is that Paper Mario stutters constantly and the game slows down in random areas. Pikmin 2 is basically unplayable as it runs at 5~ fps. Is there some reason as to why Paper Mario stutters and slows down, and Pikmin runs at horrible framerates?
Is slowdown and stuttering common?

Try using latest dev build.
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.
Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

Make sure you're using the DX11 or vulkan video backends with AMD cards, not the OpenGL version. And ensure you're using the latest driver from amd.com - don't rely on just windows update. Also, check that the ubershaders option is set to "hybrid" If none of them help, you can put screenshots of all the settings windows here to make sure there's nothing unexpected that got toggled. 08-26-2017, 09:09 AM

You're using basic settings. I'd make sure your PC is set to high performance. Short of that, your CPU isn't the greatest for running Dolphin. With a STR of about 1500 and being an AMD CPU, I'd personally recommend upgrading your processor. Maybe someone can come up with something that might improve performance, but I wouldn't expect great results
Windows 11 Home x64
Intel Core i7-10700 Nvidia Rtx 2060 6GB 32.0 GB DDR4 RAM 08-26-2017, 10:02 AM

I would enable the Dual Core option.
Also, look into overclovking your CPU if you can. Don't set IR to Auto, set it to 3x 08-26-2017, 12:37 PM
Upgrade to Ryzen if you want to stay with AMD or any reasonably clocked Intel chip in the last 4 years
