3.5 is the stable release. That means no revision numbers follow the number, it's just 3.5. Developmental builds are builds like 3.5-367, 3.5-1067, 3.5-1200, etc. Note 3.5-367 is the last build available on the old unofficial site. Essentially, most people who use 3.5-367 haven't been getting their builds from the new site (hint, you're using it right now ) This is just for future reference: get builds here -> http://dolphin-emu.org/download/
Is really my computer not powerful enough ?

Okay, thanks for the hint ! I'll stay on the 3.5 stable version for now.
I tried the Vbeam trick, but it doesn't work in any way. The audio is fine with LLE, but as soon as the FPS changes, it stutters. By the way, I was wondering : when I deactivate the FPS limit, the game runs most of the time ( if not all the time ) far better than 30 fps ( most of the time between 40 and 50 fps ). So, if the game can run that way, why would the fps drop when I activate the FPS limit ? 06-19-2013, 04:15 PM
AquaManYeah Wrote:So, if the game can run that way, why would the fps drop when I activate the FPS limit ? I'm glad you asked that, since I'm sure it bothers a number of people (if they ever try it). I'm just guessing, but my thoughts are that actually calculating what needs to be done to limit the frames is actually more demanding than telling Dolphin "hey, just run this as fast as you can, don't worry about the FPS". Ensuring that the timing fits into something like 30 FPS or 60 FPS seems to be harder than running it at full throttle. Like I said, I'm just guessing; I don't know enough about the Gamecube's internals (or Dolphin's) to accurately say. I've only really only studied the DSP and a bit of the Serial Interface (SI). |
