You guys want specs? Oh, I'll give you specs.

Windows 7 Home Prenium 64-bit (6.1 Build 7600)
Language: English
Made by Dell
Model: Dell Inspiron 570, all [Included in Price]
Processor: AMD Sempron™ 140
1 MB Cache, ~2.7 GHz. Not overclocked or enabled cores for safety reasons.
RAM 2048 MB
Video Card and Sound Card:
ATI Radeon HD 4200 Integrated Chipset
Realtek High Definition (Also integrated.)
Dolphin Builds Tested: x64 7063, x64 7083
Configuration: Slightly faster with EVERYTHING turned off.
Running in Windowed Mode: 640x480

I know the deal has to do with my processor? Why? I checked a PC Component Usage Meter and these were my results.

My RAM went up 20% in usage once emulation of a gamecube game started.

My processor? 100%. This thing made y processor fun at its best and this is what happened:

In non-playing scenes.

Super Mario Sunshine:
Skips yet has full speed 30 FPS 60 VPS
Title screen goes down to 1% Speed

Wind Waker:
Always Full Speed except for title screen where it skips

Playing scenes:
Always cuts down to 50% 15 FPS 30 VPS

That enough info? Good. Here's what I want to know.

Am I doing something wrong that is making these games run horribly?

Should I attempt to overclock or 'second core' my only processor?

If so, should I buy a backup Sempron 140?

Can you please help me? I have one rule though. If you came here just to say that it works fine on your computer, if you can't give me the Dolphin build, your RAM, and processor speed and core number, I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT.
Please help me make my Dolphin work. My specifications are here:

Your Processor sucks and your video card as you said NONE Im taking it as an Standard VGA Adapter, so it sucks too. No offense.

If you want to run Dolphin decently you really need a new computer :/

OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit Creators Update
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 960 @ 3.6 GHz
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 2GB GDDR5
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-870A-USB3 AM3+ Revision
RAM: HyperX 8GB Dual Channel @ 1600Mhz

...So I should spend another Christmas just to run this game? And I didn't add my chipsets because video and sound have absolutely nothing to do with processor power. But if you insist...

If you can unlock the second core and buy a decent video card that will be enough for a lot of games. A single core cpu and a hd 4200 igp is not enough.

Will unlocking the second core kill my motherboard or processor if it is faulty? I've done a little research on this but I just want to know if it is safe before I go and make my CPU asplode.

Even if you unlock the second core you will still need a decent video card. Otherwise it will be for nothing since your hd 4200 igp will just bottleneck it.

And no it cannot damage your mobo. It might not work though. You basically have a 50/50 chance of it being stable. If it's unstable you will just have to leave it disabled.

Did a quick google search and found this:

Quote:If you're shopping for one, you need SB710 or SB750 to unlock. All motherboards with those southbridges unlock except for ECS. ECS boards will not unlock anything unless someone modded a bios for it by themselves...

Only some mobo can unlock the second core. Let me check if yours can.

Edit: Just realized your system was made by dell. So that's an automatic no you can't unlock the second core. Which means you'll need to buy a new cpu as well.

Ok. New Processor then. But the video card isn't really that big of a problem, considering my 2 GB DDR3 consumed Dolphin's requirements. But if you think so, to the Amazon.com high-quality bargain bin.

Any ideas for good quality products at 50 dollars or less? I'm looking for good, not top-of-the-line.

"...So I should spend another Christmas just to run this game?"

no - just play it on your wii/gamecube.

Yes it is a big problem. Meeting the requirements just means you can run the program. It doesn't mean you can achieve playable speed in any game.

I would recommend at least a 9500gt or hd 5550 (both are about $60-70).

As for the cpu you need BARE MINIMUM an athlon X2 240. Even then you will only be able to achieve playable speed in a few games. Dolphin requires a very high end computer. I would suggest you either give up or save up for a high end computer.

...You are not getting the point. I want to play it on my PC. It is legal. I bought these games in the early 20s. And they dissapeared into the bowels of my house before I was done with them. So I want to play them again. Without buying another copy.
