Hi everybody this is my first post here. I am just wondering if my Pentium D 2.8Ghz dual core processor is good enough to run dolphin. I also want to know what graphics card should I get and how much would it cost me. I am hoping to run dolphin at 30 or more fps.

it'll work, but very slowly. Pentium D is the worst dual core ever made imo.

30FPS is half speed for most games. It'll be unplayable, really. Sound will be de-synced, input time will lag by half, ect.

your is miles better than his. It's not about the clock speed! A 7ghz pentium 4 (netburst) is still slower than a 3ghz conroe!

Um your Signature states you have a quad core. This guy would have the pretty much the very fist gen duel core. I use to have a pent d 830 at 2.8 ghz and it was crap. You might get some games at ok speeds but any game that needs to push hard on cpu will find that the duel core does not have it. Its duel core but in many aspects its more of a single core processor. You would need something a bit better then a pentium D. If you decided on intel, the e7000 series has some really nice deals. Amd Athelons X2 can be very good on price to performance.

Yes but your processor gets more speed clock for clock so therefore you have a much better processor even though the clockspeed is slower
