Hello i was playing Luigi's Mansion and Zelda Majora's Mask and the dolphin 3.5 emulator kept on crashing after 5-10 min, i was wondering if my PC is good enough for this kind of emulation.

System
  • Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
  • Acer Aspire x3950
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i3 CPU 540 @ 3.07 GHz (4CPUs), ~3.1GHz
  • Memory: 4096 RAM
  • Direct X11
Screen Settings
  • NVIDIA GeForce 315
  • DAC-Type: Integrated RAMDAC
  • Total Memory: 2222MB
  • Resolution 1920x1080 (32bit) (60HZ)

    Thanks in advance!
~Rico

Any error message?

Did you check your temps with CoreTemp? Maybe it's an overheating issue.

I had a error with Majora's Mask, when shooting a bubble at north clock town..
It was called the back patch error, and everytime when i pressed OK a new back patch error popped up.

Normally when i play, the game just shuts down after a few minutes and dolphin shows me a message that its not working anymore without error.

The Graphics itself look pretty decent and seems to work 80% without Booster 3..
How can i find out that my core is overheating?

Im pretty new to all of this, so im not even sure if my set up for Dolphin is right,
Does anyone have a guide for this?

Cheers for helping, appreciate it!

Yep. Use the settings for best speed (link in my signature).

One more question: Which Dolphin revision do you use?

I got 30 FPS 60 VPS and 99-100% speed when the game is running

and im using the latest version of dolphin the 3.5

Well, your CPU is not really powerful, but it's strong enough to handle this games at playable speed. Don't expect fullspeed all the time, you may encounter some FPS drops.
