Is my PC good enough?

Been trying to run a little bit, and Super Smash Brothers Melee is having a hell of a time trying to run on my system, and I figured I would come on here and just straight up ask and see if I had a good enough PC to run the games well.

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 laptop, running a A-8 4500m processor with discrete class Radeon HD 7640G graphics. 8 gig of RAM.

SSBM is having a hard time when there is more than 2 players on screen, and a lot of sound. Tried audio dumps, and when I do, they game just crashes completely. I was wondering what you all would suggest, if anything, to where I would be able to run the game smoothly, or if I should abandon hope?

Multiplayer is demanding , the more player you add the more slowdown you get . Your CPU is too slow
