Running Brawl, it slows to ~50% speed whenever I start a match. Help?

You're talking as if the processor is made up of several parts that can be upgraded. You need an entire new processor to run the game at full speed since your current processor is too slow. Overclocking to 3.0GHz would help a bit, but still probably not full speed.

Asus Laptop: K53TA
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-Bit - SP1
CPU: AMD Llano A6-3400M, Quad-Core, 1.4GHz-2.6GHz (Overclocked)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD6650M, 1GB GDDR3 (Catalyst 13.1)
RAM: Samsung 4GB DDR3-1333

You should overclock to at least 2.4 GHz.

That's not going to be anywhere near enough. He needs a totally new cpu, period.

People get tired of being told they need a new PC.

I'm planning on building for my next PC, would this work?
  • AMD FX 8150
  • Radeon 6850
  • 8 GB RAM

The reason I'm going AMD is because I get the motherboard free with this CPU. I would rather go Intel, but eh.
