- I have a hp Pavilion laptop
- running on Windows 8.1
- AMD A8-6410 APU
- AMD Radeon R5 graphics
- 2.00 GHz
- x64-bit operating system
- 8.00 GB RAM (6.94 GB usable)

I only want it for The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker and possibly Twilight Princess.

Is my laptop good enough? I have tried running Wind waker on Dolphin 4.0.2 but even with the opening cut scene of Wind waker the sound skips and it runs between 50%-90% (it bounces between those totals.)

what would be the best config for my laptop?

if you want to know anything else about my laptop, let me know.

thanks Big Grin

Callum

For most games ? No , not even close . For some light-weight games , may be no... unfortunately
Btw , Dolphin 4.0.2 is outdated and slow like a slug . You must download latest dev Dolphin version if you want more speed

Ok appreciate that. If i get the latest version of Dolphin, would it help me run the Legend
Of Zelda Wind Waker?

It will help, but I'm afraid your CPU is simply very slow, so there is no guarantee it will be full speed.

again, thank you. What settings and configurations (in terms of the DPS, graphics, config etc.) should I go with to give myself the best possible chance?

Wind Waker will be somewhat playable, but there´s no way it will hit full speed.
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

is it my graphics card that isn't up to spec? my processor? both? what would be the minimum spec needed to run games such as wind waker, twilight princess (gamecube) at playable/full speed?

thanks Big Grin

Desktop would be a good i3,  or a pentium G3258.  Laptop I would say i7 minimum,  as mobile i5's and i3's are much weaker.  GPU wise,  nvidia preferably, maybe a 750 Ti,  or an R7 260, preferably an Intel/Nvidia combo,  as that is simply superior for emulation.
