Thanks very much for all your reply. Its kinda sad cause Mario sunshine was what I wanted to play the most. Since you said it will run slow you just saved me a lot of time. Just one quick question even if I set it to 3fps skipping it still wont make Sunshine playable right?
Is my laptop good enough?

It will make more or less playable, the thing usually depends on GPU (shouldn´t affect that much in your case.
Actually, there´s a workaround that might work for you: in Configs, set the framelimiter to any number lower than max speed (for either NTSC or PAL). The chosen number will force Dolphin to run at that speed and not only that, it will modify the pitch the sound! The lower the limit you select, the lower the pitch the sounds will have. Lower pitch sounds are better than suttering, just so you know. Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Mario sunshine isn't that demanding, providing you don't up the graphic enhancements and run the latest development build of dolphin you should probably be fine. I run it at more than 3x normal speed and your laptop is not that much weaker. 10-01-2014, 09:23 PM
I have just downloaded the New Supermario Bros Wii. It works fine however the sound seems to be laggy. I've been trying to play around with it but dont know much about dolphin. I'm currently using dolphin 4.02 the best performance so far Ive tried is limit the fps by 55 and skip 1fps. I've mentioned my laptop specs from the previous post in this thread. I'm sure my laptop can run NSBW fine as it is a lightweight game so can anyone suggest the best config for dolphin 4.02

Also play when your laptop is plugged. 10-01-2014, 11:02 PM
Thanks very much for the prompt reply. U reckon it will work with better with Donkey Kong with the latest dev dolphin version?

It will definitely run faster but probably not full speed for you since DKCR is a demanding game. With the same settings i have 65 fps in 4.0.2. versus 91 fps in 4.0-3471 in the overview world map (40 % faster). 10-01-2014, 11:37 PM
Good to know. Is there anyway I can mario galaxy without having to completely buy a new hardware? Is it likely that future dolphin devs will run mario galaxy on my current laptop at a decent playable level?

That's a theoretical discussion so i can't say, probably not since i think that dolphin is reaching it's limits regarding to optimizations, it won't be possible to sustain a similar rate of speedup in the future. Your best bet right now is to use opengl and the latest dev version with this game with minimal graphic enhancements. If you still can't get playable speeds i wouldn't expect much. 10-02-2014, 06:21 AM
