I can't for the life of me get the Dolphinbar i just received to pair up with my -TR remotes. Here's what I have tired on 2 different PCs, both running Windows 7 X64:

Ran the setup on the included driver disc.
Ensured that the firmware is upgraded to V3 (it was).
It's in "Mode 4", but this is kind of irrelevant cause I can't get the remotes to pair in any mode, I don't think its software/driver related.
Plug the Dolphinbar into my motherboards main Intel USB ports, wait for the driver to install. The 0 LED flashes steady.
Press the SYNC button, the 0 LED begins flashing fast, push the red SYNC button on the remote, the 4 LEDs on the remote flash fast, and just keep flashing as well as the 0 LED on the Dolphinbar, isn't this when they're supposed to sync up? They're less than 1 foot apart.
Purchased a brand new genuine remote from Walmart, just in the tiny chance my other one was fake, despite that I ordered it directly from Nintendo when I got my Wii U. Same problem. Both sync up fine to my Wii U.
Eliminated any possibility of interference by unplugging my Wii U from power, disabling my motherboards and phones Bluetooth, and even turning off my 2.4GHz WiFi, and trying separate PCs in separate environments. (Home and work PC)

At one point of frantically mashing the SYNC buttons on both the Dolphinbar and the remote, they did pair up and work for about 5 minutes. I was even able to shut off the remote by holding power, and after that just pushing any button on the remote would cause it to almost immediately sync up just like it's supposed to. During this brief period of cooperation, I was even able to pair up my known knock-off non MothionPlus, non -TR remote no problem. However once disconnecting and reconnecting the Dolphinbar from USB I haven't been able to get anything to pair since.

It's showing up in Devices and Printers as "Mayflash Wiimote PC Adapter", no errors.

So do you guys think that there's a definite defect with my Dolphinbar, and I should just contact my the seller for a replacement, or is there anything else that I should try first? Anyone else having this problem?

I've searched the forum and online and can't find anyone else with this specific problem, most peoples issues seem to be getting Dolphin to see the remotes once they're paired to the dolphinbar.

Thanks for your help!

Now this is how someone should post dolphinbar connectivity problems! Excellent work describing it!

Unfortunately, it sounds like something is wrong with the dolphinbar. Sad Thanks to your thorough and excellent testing and description, you were able to rule out most of the typical pitfalls. You tried it on multiple PCs, so that rules out anything PC specific. You tried multiple wiimotes and confirmed they work on console, which rules out wiimote derping and defective wiimote issues. And you described the syncing process, which some people just... you know Wink.

So um, sorry I don't have better news. Sad I would recommend contacting the seller for a replacement. A second dolphinbar shouldn't have these issues.

OK, hopefully it is just a bad Dolphinbar... I'm going to contact the seller about a refund and buy one from another seller, just in case there was a whole bad batch or something...

Will update here if the new one fixes or has the same issues.

EDIT: I noticed one of the stock photos for the Dolphinbar has a red and green LED, mine is all blue LEDs, which one do you have?

Quick update:

I got my new Dolphinbar today, plugged it in, hit SYNC on the bar and SYNC on the remote, they paired right up. The remote can be powered off by holding power, after that hitting any button will cause it to pair right back up just like its supposed to.

So yes my first Dolphinbar was defective.

The only minor issue is the Dolphinbar does not play well with my motherboards "Asmedia" USB 3.0 ports; I get the Windows "device disconnected" noise continuously when plugged into those. Works fine on the integrated Intel USB 2.0 ports. (My board is a Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3, its Z68 chipset is the last one before Intel added USB 3.0 onto their chipsets)
