Quote:intel 5500u processor clocked at 3.00 ghzI doubt it . It's an ultra low voltage CPU hence why you have the "u" character there These CPU will run at low speed to keep the temperature and power down . The maximum speed is 3.0GHz which is true but at that speed , only 1 core is active ! You better check CPU speed with realtemp . Keep in mind that these laptops are not gaming laptops , these laptop can not withstand heat due to bad cooling units (only 1 fan) Quote: nvidia 920m with 4 gigs of ddr5GT 920M is low end , no way dell can equip GDDR5 for this GPU It's DDR3 actually . Memory Bandwidth is only about 14.40 GB/s . For 720p or lower resolution , it's ok . Not so good , not so terrible either Btw , here is performance guide for laptop https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/faq/#my-lap...-it-should Laptop: Mini PC :: 06-13-2016, 03:37 AM

So then why did you come onto the forums and ask if your laptop was good for Dolphin if you didn't want to hear the answer?
"Making it better for low end PCs" sounds like you have no idea what you're talking about with regards to emulation or how programming works in general. 06-13-2016, 06:29 AM
Being able to play PC games has no direct correlation to Dolphin. PC games require a strong GPU and really any type of CPU. Dolphin requires a really strong CPU and a moderately fast GPU.
While your 920m isn't horrible, it's still pretty shitty compared to really any other GPU that isn't from Intel. For Dolphin, you probably can't get past 1x-1.5x IR enhancement. 06-13-2016, 10:04 AM
