Hi
When I try to start a game it often is fast in the beginning, but slows down within the next 5 minutes.
all settings are the lowest, I tried many different options

My system:
Intel Pentium D 925 / 3GHz
3GB RAM
Nvidia 9500GT 1GB

Do you think I need a new PC or is there just a bottleneck which I could upgrade ?

Pentium D is an ancient cpu (65nm) , it's too slow for most games and run really hot
Idle : 50-60C
Full Load : 70-80C and so on
IF your motherboard support Core 2 duo , you should upgrade to Intel E5700 (45nm - 64USD) then overclock it
Or buy a new PC
