1. Your CPU runs 400 MHz higher
2. Your screenshot isn't exactly in a very demanding area. Try running around on the starship in SMG1 or seeing starbit meteors fly onscreen on a 3 GHz sandy bridge and you'll know what I mean.

The FPS in this game will fall like crazy in those situations.
Desktop:
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K @ 4.4 GHz
GPU: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Factory OC'ed)
RAM: 16 GB @ 1600 MHz
Dolphin Revision:3.0, 3.0-784, 3.5, latest 3.5

I don't have a complete save for SMG2, so I can't go find any areas for you to test.

How far are you into the game?

I don't really remember where that is. I'll find something for you to look at later.

Some people really hate slowdown . So 3.8-4.0GHz should be able to run Xenoblade + LLE + High IR(depend on your GPU) fullspeed without slowdown and 4.4GHz should be perfect for SMG
I guess your cpu can run it full speed most of the times but not full speed all the time . If you want to test SMG , please test it on lava level
Btw , i get 25-36FPS with HLE and 19-29 FPS with LLE (Xenoblade PAL-25)

His CPU is clocked 100MHz higher, not 400MHz. Also, I don't get a very big drop in speed with AA. As I generally find my CPU is the bottleneck in dolphin, I find I can change it in SMG on the fly with no discernible difference in speed. I'm fairly confident that rpglord will hit a GPU bottleneck with less AA than me as my GPU is more powerful.

Ah, I thought you had listed your turbo clock rate like most people. My mistake.

How does high ir have anything to do with cpu speed ?
As you can see lowest I got with 1xIR is 29,which is 4 fps ABOVE fullspeed.
I am sure I would get 20 fps with 5ghz sandy bridge with other settings I tried because my gpu is bottlenecking.
Since you cpu is weaker then mine, these results you got seems to match mine.
I dont have SMG..did you mean SMG2 ? If yes, please provide exact name of the galaxy and I will download saves online and test it Smile

Unless SMG is much more demanding then SMG2,it doesnt make sense for you to get 30 fps when I get 70 fps.
Something is wrong somewhere...

What's wrong is what I said was wrong earlier: I get lower performance that I should, and you get higher performance than you should.
