What do you mean by audio grobble? As for the audio frame limit, it was completely removed due to it messing up some games. Read as per near the bottom: https://dolphin-emu.org/blog/2014/07/31/...july-2014/
Is my computer too weak to be using direct11?

I did not get this in 4.0.2 or older emulators. Also, was the "Audio" option in the frame limit temporarily removed or was it completely done away with? Something is seriously wrong here, go to your desktop with nothing else open but HWMonitor and let it sit for a few minutes then send another screengrab. You should see much lower temps and why in damnation do you not have any case fans? That's cray cray. {someone beat me to it} -------The audio option is done away with for good. --------And lastly could you explain "audio grobble" . Elaborate please. 08-08-2014, 12:19 PM

Audio grobble = meaning audio that sounds a bit boomy and slow and sounds like it is playing very incorrectly. An example being the file select screen in Skyward Sword either with XAudio2, DSound or OpenAL, all using HLE mode. Although Twilight Princess has good audio now for HLE, just try turning the audio backend to OpenAL. If the noise sounds weird, you may know what I mean by "grobble".
As for case fans. Well, apparently I do have several fans in there. Either HWMonitor doesn't list them all or something isn't displayed right. I got a fan on the back, a fan covering the CPU, a fan on the graphic card. I opened my case with my computer turned on and every single fan is running. Right now, with nothing running my CPU's cores(all 4) are at 41 C. As of yesterday, my revision is currently at 4.0-2472 08-09-2014, 01:15 AM

I don't know much about the audio problem, possibly it's because of lower frame-rates?, there is always some issues with audio at less than full frame rate. Those temps are quite high for idle. It seems you don't have an intake case fan? Just exhaust? Anyway in conclusion I would say yes your CPU is much too weak. 08-09-2014, 01:33 AM

That's exactly what's going on. Dolphin's audio emulation runs in-sync with the rest of the emulated system. If you can't emulate a GC or Wii at fullspeed, you can't emulate the audio at fullspeed either. Dolphin will try to time-stretch the audio for better results when you can't reach fullspeed, and the OpenAL audio backend lets you manually control this Latency to an extent, but usually as soon as you start to edge past 5 FPS (give or take) below fullspeed, you'll hear audio distortions. 08-09-2014, 07:59 AM

So, if my CPU is weak for the current Dolphin, I may just have to wait until I upgrade but until then, shall I just stick with the (buggy and no-longer-supported) older versions like 3.5 or any of the 3.0 based revisions until I upgrade? All I just want to do is play on Dolphin, that's all.
By the way, would this processor be recommended? I hear it isn't in the FAQ for desktops but I think this one is for desktops and it is an i7, which I think is above i5. Sounds pretty good but it looks Dolphin friendly, a lot better looking than what I currently have. I saw on the FAQ regarding i7s for laptops but no mention of desktops. http://ark.intel.com/products/75123/Inte...o-3_90-GHz 08-09-2014, 08:44 AM
It performs like i5-4670K. You could get either the G3258 or simply save for i5-4690K.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

Dolphin only uses 2 core(or 3 if LLE is on a thread) so having more cores doesn't help dolphin. What does help though is the new Intel Haswell chips like the i5-4670K or the Pentium G3258. The pentium is a dual core and overclocked it will definitely be the best bang for your buck for Dolphin(but pc games will have some stuttering according to Digital Foundry) but if you buy the I5 you be able to run pc games better and any game on Dolphin full speed. The I5 is the current highest recommended processor for Dolphin.

I shall consider buying an i5. However, what if I do not overclock it, but rather instead keep it at its default clock rate, will it still be powerful? My dad is a computer expert, my old boss was one too and they said overclocking can be dangerous and damaging to your CPU, which is why I don't overclock.
