The clock speed difference is minimal the real difference besides the extra 1GB GDDR5 is the memory bus gt 640 v2 (the gtk 107 version) has a 64 Bit bus the 750m has a 128 Bit one. This ends up adding a little over %50 more memory bandwidth.
I would suspect that it is something lowering the performance of the CPU or GPU since with a "quite slow" GPU Meele runs just fine in 2x IR (to be fair I do have a much faster CPU though), though I also do not use V-sync.
