Hello World,

A lot of the post/threads/sites on google about this issue where very old, we're talking years with outdated information... So I'm here asking again, is it still not possible to plug my wii classic controller into my wiimote and then play gamecube games with it?

Thank you.

Theoretically, you could install a driver which makes the Classic Controller act like a generic XInput controller, which could then be mapped to a GC controller within dolphin.
But you'd loose the ability to use it as an actual classic controller in games that support it. At least not simply.
Download the latest development build of Dolphin and you'll be fine.

Ok ExtremeDude, any other emulator it would work with then?

And how would I go about doing that WamWooWam? Any guides, tutorials, etc? At the moment I haven't found any wii games that use the classis controller that I'm interested in, so not being able to use it for that wouldn't be much of a loss, assuming of course the process is reversible in case I do find some wii games one day.

I don't entirely want to go recommending anything specific (malware is a thing, don't want that to happen). However a google search for "wii classic controller driver windows" revealed "HID Wiimote", I've never used it, but it seems to do what you want it to.
It does need you to disable driver signature enforcement though so... meh?
If it works, it should just be the case of opening Controllers > Comfigure next to GC Pad 1 and mapping the appropriate controls.
Download the latest development build of Dolphin and you'll be fine.

HID Wiimote doesn't look like what I'm looking for. Besides needing to install another driver which I'm guessing would cause problems cause I already have libusbk installed for bluetooth passthrough  it also specifically states on their site under known issues:

Quote:"Other Programs that need to communicate directly with the Wii Remote may not work (e.g. Dolphin Emulator)."

So... yeah.... no thanks. Basically what I'm looking for, preferably, if at all possible, is something that will leave the wiimote/nunchuck and the bluetooth pasthrough stuff alone, and simply make the classic controller(when pluged into the remote) recognizable by gamecube games.

There isn't anything like that. It's possible to have one setup for using Wii Remotes as Wii Remotes in Dolphin and then another setup for using them as standard controllers that are recognized by Dolphin's controller emulation and other programs, but you would have to switch between them manually rather than having both at once.

By the sounds of things you'd need two Bluetooth adapters, one for pass through, one to simulate a GC controller with some kind of driver. You can imagine how much of a pain in the arse that'd be.
Download the latest development build of Dolphin and you'll be fine.

Oh. Sad Could you please give me more info JosJuice on what having those two setups would imply(what I would need, how it would work, is Wam right that I'd need 2 adapters, etc.) and on how difficult/problematic switching from one to another would be?
