Is it possible to play games from official discs?

I'm new to the emulator so sorry if I'm being nooby.

I was wondering if its possible to play Gamecube/Wii games from their official discs on the Dolphin Emulator. I put the discs into my PC but nothings read and the disc drive says it has nothing inside. I was wondering if the Dolphin team have doen anything to make this possible, if it is

Nope, you're not able + most DVD drives don't read GC/Wii discs (they are GDROM afaik and only some LG ones support GDROM)

Ah ok, thanks! am I allowed to ask about how to obtain GC/Wii games to play here then? Thanks for your reply =]

You could use your Wii for it, there are a lot of ways to dump games to PC using Wii (google it), not sure how to do it with Gamecube

and only trough its debug commands (afaik thats why its so slow to dump)
