I'm a completly newie in this.

I want to port some codes for the german Tales of Symphonia to the spanish edition.

I was planning to use Dolphin to locate the values addressed by the cheat codes in the german edition and search the same values in the spanish version of the game.... but it looks like Dolphin's cheat manager can only search adresses by its value, not in the other way.

Am I wrong? Or do I have to use other tools for that?

Just start dolphin in the debugger modus (-d).

Or start dolphin in your favorite debugger and look for the physical memory: https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/b...mmap.h#L22

Or use the memorywatcher tool, but this is linux only: https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/b...cher.h#L12

Thanks! That really helped me.

The first german cheat I'm trying to port is this:

$16:9 Aspect Ratio (Widescreen) [Ralf]
0410071C C3A2882C //This gives me trouble
043644CC 3FE38E39 //Already ported

I need to change the first one. I found its original value in the german game (ffa01090) and there is only one address with this value in the spanish game... but when I tried to change it for the value "C3A2882C" Dolphin didn't let me do it.

If I add this value to the txt file with the AR codes, the game will crash after the intro. Also, I noticed Dolphin doesn't let me add the original value in that direction (in both versions) but I can boot the german game with the codes in the txt without problems

What is it wrong in the value?
