Is it possible to develop better wiimote tracking software?

So I recently setup dolphin with a brand new bluetooth dongle and a real wiimote + wii motion plus + nunchuck to play skyward sword. Everything is working fine however I was wondering if there was any way to download an add-on or something that might make the wii motion tracking better. I do have a wireless IR on top of my monitor but it seems like every few minutes I have to press down on the d pad to re sync everything. I also have a wii u and I know that is "just how it is" on the actual game. However I am wondering since we are emulating everything is it possible to have a better experience? Is anyone working on a project like this? Thanks for any info.
