Is AMD Athlon x3 455 @ 3.3Ghz better than Core 2 Duo e7400 @ 2.8 Ghz for Dolphin?

I only played a little bit of Metroid Prime (Gamecube version), but on my 2500K it did quite well. A few minor drops here and there, but it bounced back quickly; it's quite enjoyable at stock speeds. Same here, I have thesame GPU and I play it alomost at full speed in some areas, no thermal or x ray issue ond it runs @ 24-30fps in snowy areas and in the space frigate cut scene, that is why I I dont think I will earn too much performance with the core i5
