I guess you missing sth : Dolphin is a dual core application
Another 45nm CPU won't make any difference unless you want to stay behind the world
There is a huge gap between Sandy Bridge and Phenom . For example , 3.0GHz SB will beat 4.5Ghz Phenom

The thing is that I don't have any money to buy another system and the i3 on my country is a LOT more expensive that in the US and the Phenom II is about 150 dollars so can please you tell me if the phenom II 1090T will make a difference or should I keep my current CPU?

(not lucky unlocking the fourth core)

I know that but I don't use my pc only for dolphin (about the cores) and the main difference between both is the L2 cache (I think), both are 45nm so please tell me if the phenom will make a difference... if not, I have to wait at least a year to changue to sandy bridge (if I'm going to changue I will buy the i7 2600k)

Barely. OP would be spending lots of money for almost no improvement.

An i3 would be a way better upgrade. I understand that you may not have the money but your only two logical choices are:
1. Save up more money
2. Don't bother

You could also choose to waste money on a cpu that provides barely any performance improvement over your current system, but I wouldn't.

ok it has logic, but if I'm going to save money would be for an i7 2600k cpu, how much is the performance compared to an i3?
