Im assuming to play Wii games such as Mario Galaxy and Zelda which heavily rely on the WiiMote you need an IR Sensor Bar. I came across Dolphin Bar and it seeme to be quite expensive. Is it possible to use any USB IR Sensor Bar such as this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Replacement-US...20eaee29d4

This one is only an IR sensor bar while the DolphinBar is both an IR sensor bar and a Bluetooth device that you can use to connect Wii Remotes to your computer. If you have another Bluetooth device that you can use, this sensor bar should work fine.

Thanks for the reply, I've got a Bluetooth dongle which is connected upto to the Wii U Pro pad and it also picked up a wiimote. So I shouldn't need dolphin bar and this USB sensor should be fine? It will also work for Wii U?

Yes.

Yes. You just need to insert the USB cable into something that provides power, and it'll work with a Wii Remote that's connected to whatever you want.
