So after mush work I found the following in this order.

1) bought my new wii mote with sensor no IR working at all.
2) tried hybrid and all works fine with mouse
3) was able to get IR working in some game but hardly playable.
4) bought a Nintendo brand mote and now thing work a bit better but still not right.
5) use lights from my entertainment center ( over head ) instead of bar, playable but way too sensitive.
6) and on topic.
I found that using the bar will work if I do so in no sun light. Seems the IR is totally confusing by lights in the room. At night I get the same issue with lights in the distance. In order to make it work with the bar I have to make sure its the only light source around. Now I would agree with this research as I'm 100% sure that lights off in the distance will effect the IR receiver. However, woudl Nintendo allow this? H4LL no... Nintendo would not allow this, and I have see the wii in action with sun light working fine.

So what gives here?

The official sensor bar probably transmits at the correct wavelength (950nm) and with more power than you entertainment center lights. Sensitivity goes way down with wavelengths not close to 950nm. Get/build a sensor bar that transmits at the correct wavelength to overpower the sunlight.
