That explains why simply changing a key I still have the Wii number one button? Just was a different setup? I wish I could help out yet, I am not green, but things do take time.

Yeah, that pack expects you to manually swap out textures based on what device you have and expects a specific button layout.

And please don't worry about it, this feature is a bit technical in terms of creating packs (that's why I wrote a tool but even then there is a learning curve), is still very new, and also is still somewhat incomplete (usable but needs a bit more work to handle every scenario, hoping I can finish it out early this year). So it's understandable that adoption has been rather low.

EDIT: Looking at that pack, that would be difficult to fully convert at the moment. It seems like this game also uses mirror'd textures just like Venomalia said metroid does.

So no offense to the guy, but he did say "you don't have to get rid of the normal Apes to get the albinos, nor the Wii setups." which was completely false. I guess the bro got completely excited and it just needs work, The folder structure was definitely not, as I said, the same as in the tutorial. But a good job none the less if you peek around and figure it out and he did have limitations at the time.

Sorry for the confusion.
The texture pack is really very well done, I have converted it to Dynamic Input Textures.

The content should be in the "Load" folder.

Hi, how does this work, does it change to whatever key I change in my input settings? Do I now have to start a fresh game?

-You need dolphin 5.0-12801 or newer.
-Place the pack into Dolphin's "load" directory.
C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Load\DynamicInputTextures\Donkey Kong Country Returns
-Enter Graphics > Advanced tab > Check Load Custom Textures.
-The Pack targeting controller settings "Wii Remoted 1" set to Device "Xinput/0/Gamepad".

The input configuration can set to Any key you want, but Advanced InputSyntax a not suportet!
The textures changes a in realtime, you do not need to start a new game and you can change the input configuration at any time. Smile

I did what you said, and I even took out the other guys custom textures from the other "Load" folder that is used for textures to make sure there wasn't a conflict and I still get the default Wii controller settings. I have no clue what I am getting wrong. Sorry if I am confused. Sad

I Figured it out, I think because my Dolphin is portable game and Input textures have to inside D:\Portables\Emulators\Dolphin\User\Load

Yes, unfortunately it is somewhat error prone and gives little info.

Are you sure it is the right folder "Load\DynamicInputTextures" not "Load\Textures"

Try to change the controller settings while the game is running,
try change the device to "DInput/0/Keyboard Mouse" and back to "XInput/0/Gamepad".
