Internet doesn't work

idk why, but i can't connect to the internet, it worked yesterday. (ive searched the web but can't find anything.)

In what way are you trying to connect to the internet? Are you trying to play a Wii game online, like Mario Kart Wii? Are you using the Internet Channel? Are you trying to use the GameCube broadband adapter? Or are you trying to use Dolphin's netplay functionality?

I'm doing mkwii online (wimmfi) and I'm getting a problem with the Internet test option on the wii menu. It says something to do with my modem's firewall (checked the Nintendo support site)

You don't need a real dump for the socket stuff to work, which is the only thing the System Menu's connection test uses IIRC.
