Hello,

This is my first post - I'm fairly new to Dolphin but I'm getting into playing SSBM and dolphin so far has been great.

I encounter a problem when I try to use Netplay. I'm running 4.0-515. It is rare that I can connect to a game. Intermittently I can connect, maybe once in every 10 servers will work for me. I've tried as many different firewall settings as I can, including disabling all security software.

Basically I'm wondering if this is something anyone else has experienced, or knows how to fix. I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

List your router model, if you're on campus (or any other kind of filtered) internet. That can matter for things such as this.

Thanks for the response. The router is a Belkin F6D4630-4 v2.

Perhaps interestingly I seem to be able to join virtually any game I like if I turn on DMZ. Does this provide any insight at all into what might be causing the problem? I'm guessing it means that the firewall is infact blocking the connection, but I'm not very good with things like that so I'm not sure.

As I say any help at all is very much appreciated.

it may be that 4.0-515 DC-Netplay(with UDPnetplay added) doesn't handle your ROUTER'S firewall properly, which is why DMZ works. It'll be looked into.
