Shocked
I was playing Super Mario Galaxy with the Vulkan renderer today and discovered a really cool bug that let me run the game above 60fps (native game framerate) without any speedup. I uncapped the frame rate with the tab key for a second and then released it to notice that the game ran a good bit smoother afterwards. I realized that it was actually running at 75fps (my monitor's refresh rate) without any speedup somehow! I used fullscreen mode with vsync on which is probably the cause of this bug in the first place. I'm also running a 1060 with the latest drivers. Can anyone explain how the Vulkan renderer magically allows for games that depend on framerate to run at higher framerates with NO issues? I find this bug quite fascinating.

Vulkan tends to be faster on certain hardware.
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

This isn't just running faster though. It's running well above the game's original frame rate without any speedup or audio issues.

The Vulkan renderer is probably doing nothing - it just got locked to the wrong framerate likely due to drivers. As for the audio, it's probably just running slightly faster. If you're in dualcore, you can mess up the game's state in some gnarly ways and cause it to run at the wrong framerate. What does Dolphin say the framerate is? 75 fps, 75 VPS? 75/60?

Yes, seems to be a specific Vulkan vsync bug on Nvidia cards. I guess that the game was actually running faster and I just didn't realize.

I mean, the game running at 75 FPS vs 60 (assuming Audio isn't stretched) isn't that big of a difference. People can adjust to that, yeah.
