I know its a bit early out for this,  but information has come to light that Intel may be planning to drop PowerVR,  and use its own GPU's instead.  I was just wondering what people think,  which they would prefer,  what actually works better,  and most importantly,  do you actually think it will happen?  Would Intel GPU's be better for the ecosystem,  or should they retain the staple PowerVR chipsets people associate with x86 on mobile?

I would say Intel but their OSS drivers don't have OpenGL4.x

Does Intel not offer a proprietary driver package for Linux?  Or do they rely entirely on OSS drivers?

Intel's proprietary driver is their open source one in Linux.
Just because it's open source doesn't mean it's a community project.

So AOSP basically?  Open source but with development controlled entirely by a closed party.
