^I think he means in general.
And to answer your question, the i7 is worth it, but I don't know if you want to purchase the i5 instead. If you plan on keeping your rig for a long time, I recommend getting the best of the best(i5). Are you sure you tested on multiple revisions with your current setup?

But logically speaking, i think the i7 wins here, its just a matter of price over performance, i unfortunately can't help you there. And sorry for my mistake in my previous post, the best of the best is the i7. You'll need more than 2gb of ram though, if you hope to avoid a bottleneck.

userpasswordpassport , i think you might need to change your graphic card but don't ask me i am not the expert here ;o
i have an intel Core 2 Duo E7300 and geforce 9500 graphic card , i get Choppy Sound in sonic unleashed but SSMB I get Full Speed using it i figured out that my graphic card which gives me in sonic unleashed choppy sound , but SSMB Full Speed , 4 players thought not in Full Speed i get half speed :/ If Switching your graphic card to a new one like GTX280 or Ati Radeon HD 4870 doesn't help then it might be because Quad core Doesn't Support the Technology of Turbo Mode the intel i7 has (which While not all cores used , the unused cores are disabled and the used cores gets overclocked automatically that is Called turbo mode). Also Try over clocking your Quad Core to 3.6 ghz or some thing if that doesn't work buy a new Graphic card. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2NaQQvLl...re=related This guy Runs Sonic &SEGA All star racing which is a racing game and he is running a quad core like you and gets a decent speed with 4 players. pherhaps you could ask him about it too? 03-27-2010, 06:25 AM

You sure can in most games
I don't know about your 2Gb selection, you should have at least 4Gb with the i7 But sure you could start off that way, just upgrade pronto.

This might Save some money. |
