I have to disagree with the other comments, your pentium D is about as fast as current state-of-the-art mobile phones. So you should get quite a few games fullspeed, just look in the android section for recormended games on low speed CPUs. Just start with: New Super Mario Brother, Mario Kart Double Dash, Zelda Windwaker.
But you have to deal with other kind of issues:
- You need 64 bit support for the fastest performance, so you need to reinstall your OS.
- Likely worse, you will be bottlenecked soon by your memory, 1GB isn't great. But it should be fine for dolphin - but not for a state-of-the-art desktop system. As you're familiar with ubuntu, I'd pick xubuntu, 17.10. Pick dolphin-master for the greatest performance (and a compile time of 1hour). If it is still too less memory, skip our UI and use the WX UI only for configuration and the non-ui build for playing.
