Greetings, I recently installed the Dolphin emulator on my Ubuntu system and was very happy with the results. I've been able to play Wii and GameCube ISO files using my computer keyboard and Logitech controller, but one issue that has come up is that several ISO's will not respond to any input.

The ones that did not work were Alien Syndrome ISO for Wii, FIFA South Africa Soccer, and now the PunchOut ISO for Wii. The ISOs loaded fine on both games, but simply would not respond to any input. At first I thought it might have been only in the Wii games that were responding this way, but I realized that some of the Wii games are working, and some are not.

Is there any reason that SOME ISOs wont respond while others will?

Thanks

Some Wii games use the GameCube controller for their inputs. For those that don't, you'll need to configure a Wiimote in the controller tab

I just realized that these games arent allowing input form my Logitech controllers either, so I edited the post above to reflect the problem better

This was definitely helpful, but I have some more questions about configuring the wiimote. I decided to try out emulated wiimote. Seemed to work for teh buttons, but how would i go about mapping the other controls for walknmg around and stuff?

The games I mentioned, like alien syndrome and punchout seem like games you would normally use a controller for. How would I go about configuring this?  emulated Wiimote?

It depends on what the game needs to use to move. You can map the controller sticks to the IR or the D-pad or even the nun chuck stick. What I do is figure out what works for each game, and then make a profile for each game. Using the per-game .ini settings, I can have the game auto-load the proper controller profile when that game launches.
