Input not working

I'm unable to get any source of input working so far. I've looked at tutorials any other questions but nothing has helped. I've tried using the keyboard as a source of input as well as controllers. I;ve never had a problem with other console emulators before on this computer. I'm not really sure what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Processor/CPU: Intel i7 2.20 ghz
Video Card/GPU: nvidia geforce gtx 1050 ti
Memory/RAM: 16g

Are you having trouble mapping or using it in game? If the latter, make sure the game supports your configured controller. If that doesn't work, send a picture with your mapping and what game you are trying to play.
