Input freezes on NSMB?

This has been a problem for a while (After around build 4637 I believe), and I have mostly been able to mitigate the problem by simply using newer plugins around 4637.

For those who don't know, the problem is, in NSMB after a while all control freezes up and nothing works, even the home button. Having multiple controllers, and using the shake button seems to make it happen faster (in 4777 I had two players doing nothing but shake spinning, and it froze up in less than a minute). It also seems to not occur when in the opening menu.

Anyway, now that multiple wiimotes are supported, I am wondering if anybody has found a solution to the problem. Since I can't use the new plugin with the old 4637 build (there's no input), its really frustrating that the one thing I have been waiting for (multiplayer NSMB) is still so far away!

i tried a lot of svn releases since 4640, and the problem remains (i'm using 4771 right now) Confused
im' trying the 4774 and i got no crashes during the first level with two players Big Grin , it's the first time i'm able to finish a level in multiplayer ! ! ! i'm trying longer to see if it's stable
i just finished the 1-2 with two players, working great. maybe you can give a try to the 4774

I gave 4774 a shot, it definitely lasted much longer, but it eventually froze.

I guess a short-term solution would be to import a save in which the game was finished so that you can save after every level and restart Dolphin.

I have such a save on my 4637 build; How does one go about migrating saves?

How do you play as 2 players? NSMB doesn't recognize that I have 2 players connected. On the second WiiMote, it says that it's the second controller, but NSMB doesn't recognize it. Huh
