INI Files Won't Save

Hello all,

Recently installed Dolphin 4.0 X64 on my Intel 3.0 GHZ. Everything works great, however, I can't customize settings on individual games. When I click on the edit configuration file, a file pops up and I try to key in settings. However, when I save and reopen, the file is blank. I've tried opening the file from the filepath instead of Dolphin, but that doesn't seem to work.

I did a google search and tried moving the emulator to the my documents folder, that didn't seem to help. I made sure that the file wasn't read-only. I've unchecked the hide extensions for known file types.

Any other ideas? Thanks.

Please try the latest development version of Dolphin instead of 4.0. There were some problems related to this that have been fixed.

Thanks. I tried downloading the latest version but it didn't seem to change anything.

I messed around with it a little bit more and I noticed that Mario Kart Wii seems to have an editable ini file no problem. I can go in externally and create an ini file within the path, but ultimately SSMB (the game I am trying to set up) always pulls a blank file regardless of what is currently sitting in the folder.

Not sure if you have seen that fact pattern before?

I even tried copying a separate instance of dolphin to a separate directory to set up an entirely new controller mapping, but it still sources to the same mapping. (i.e. a change made in one is made in the other)
