No idea what causes this, but it happens whenever I play a game after a random period of time. It used to happen while I played Gauntlet Dark Legacy until it just stopped one day. Now it keeps popping up almost every hour or two during Yu-Gi-Oh The Falsebound Kingdom. Error message is barely helpful as all it says is it's an invalid write to something. Screenshot of error message is provided
Inconsistent Crashing caused by "Unable to read" error

Does it also happens in latest dev? Also, make sure your dump is not corrupt by computing its MD5 hash.
You can use websites like Redump and GameTDB to compare your hash. Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.
Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

This game just crashes a lot on console. Gauntlet I can't answer as I haven't investigated it.

I do not see any MD5 in Dolphin's files and it's dump folder just has 3 empty folders inside of it Also I am running the 5.0 release build. The dev build won't open for some reason 06-20-2018, 08:34 AM

It used to do it for Gauntlet, but then it just stopped and never happened again. Those are the only two games I have for the emulator so far. Gauntlet can be played for hours on end and not crash once, but Yu-Gi-Oh does it after every two chapters 06-20-2018, 09:40 AM

Dolphin has a feature of computing your dump´s MD5 hash to compare it against others. I'm going to bump this topic because I get this exact error and I'm wondering if anyone ever found a solution. I've read it happens on Dolphin 5.0 but didn't used to happen on some of the previous versions. I was hoping not to have to downgrade, but if I do would my current save file on 5.0 be compatible with a previous version of Dolphin?
