in-game pull down menu COMPATIBILITY ISSUE

On Chromebooks the in-game menu cannot be accessed since the swiping motion from the top will not work. I have been checking this out for over a year and wishing that something could be done. This basically makes the app unusable on Chromebooks since the on-screen controls cannot be removed when using an external controller. No other settings can be changed either.

Here are some easy suggestions that wold work across platforms and improve the experience for everyone:

- Provide a key mapping option so that external controllers can be used to pull up the in-app menu by simply using a controller. Most controllers have more buttons than necessary so allocating one to the menu should not cause a lot of heartache, if any, for most users. Then, add a button to the on-screen controller to access the menu as well.

- Allow the in game settings to be "generally" configured from the main application configuration menu and load them when loading a game. They could always be adjusted while in-game but this would make it easier for users who tend to use the same in-game settings and allow those of us who can't access the menu at all to make adjustments from the main config area.

- NOT MY FAVORITE - add a universal load screen that would ask the user to confirm the in-game settings before the game loads. While Chromebook users would not be able to change the settings once the game loads at least there is an option to adjust them.

If you like these ideas please post you're opinion so the developer understand how much this feature is needed for Chromebook users. Thanks!

+1 same problem on my Pixelbook. Fully agree with suggestions, please make the app usable for Chromebook users, using button on my 8bitdo controller to access the menu would be the perfect solution!

Sorry, one other possible solution (suggestion) I found in John GBAC emulator, onscreen controls automatically disappear as soon as you start using controller.
