Ok, while you try to tune it for the accels we want I'll keep working on narrowing it down.

Sorry that last code was affecting way too much. This one definitely affects less. Acceleration with and without the puck - is it ok to have both affected? I'm not sure how much else it affects, but definitely less. Everything else about the code is the same as the last one, so just replace it.

It'll still affect the forward accel after a direction switch. Not sure if it affects all characters. Not sure if it'll look correct either. $gecko accel from stop 4 no direction switch c2c3c378 00000002 7d8903a6 7c120378 60000000 00000000 c2b6e8a4 00000003 ec220028 2c1200e8 40a20008 c0229b90 60000000 00000000 c2b228e8 00000007 c03f129c c2829b90 fc01a040 41a00024 c2a29b8c ec21a82a d03f129c ec21a028 c2a2fefc c2c2fef8 ec210572 ec21b02a 60000000 00000000 043420bc 3c23d70a 043420b8 3e800000
Sorry, fell asleep
Back in testing... Ya, it would be better if it affects only the accells without the puck because they seemed to be worked fine with the puck in the default game.

I think this code affects now only the accels, great job! We just need to make it affect the "soft" push animations too. You can trigger them by barely push the controller from standing still. We even have the code that slows them down, if it helps you with looking? $SOFT acc C2B6E848 00000003 EC220028 3C808000 C0441834 EC220072 60000000 00000000 04001834 3f400000

hm, what do you call the direction switch? You mean how he sinks the blades (skates) into the ice? That might be an actually good thing if its affected
Now I will look at the second code...

$gecko accel from stop 4 no direction switch... not sure if this has any effect on the accells at all.
I definitely like this code more: $gecko accel from stop 4.

so ended up with something like this

If you skate in one direction and then reverse direction, the character comes to a halt, takes a few frames to spin around, then starts accelerating in the other direction. I was calling that the switch and wasn't sure if the stop and turn should be included. The acceleration will be quicker once he turns around, because it will be ramping up as the character stops and turns.
Did any of the accel from stop codes affect soft push?
Yes! This one affected even the soft push accell .

You need a controller with analog input.

Much better, what do you think?
