I have been experiencing some odd slowness with Dolphin on my PC for a while. Some of the same games that ran perfectly on my old Core 2 Duo E8400 with a Radeon HD4870 are having issues on my i5 3570K with an Nvidia GTX 660ti. Today though, I just happened to notice that when I started LoZ Twilight Princess, my CPU was recognized as having 4 physical cores but 8 logical threads. My CPU is an i5 3570K, which doesn't have hyperthreading, so it should say that it is 4 physical cores with one logical thread per core. I think the slow down might have to do with Dolphin trying to run on one core despite me having dual-core enabled.
I've searched and found a couple of issues similar to this, but there were no solutions.
Can someone clarify if this would be what's causing the slowness? Also, is there a way to make Dolphin correctly detect my CPU?
