I've tried to uncheck this option in many of the latest revisions (from r5804 and up), but it's impossible. Everytime I start a game, it automatically gets checked again. I've tried to turn off the option both in dolphin and dolphin.ini, but it doesn't work.

Anyone got any clue? It's the x64 version btw.

Why do you want to disable this option? I believe the option is there to emulate the GC bios which could explain why you aren't able to uncheck the option, or a developer made a boo boo somewhere.

Maybe it automatically turn on when it doesn't detect bios = smart design

It always activates anyway = mistake

So tell if you actually have the bios it needs.

I just tried to uncheck it and it seems to work fine when I uncheck it and close the window.

So this option is only needed for gc games? It automatically gets checked in wii games too. I remember I was able to turn off this option a couple of months ago, and I thought some wii games ran smoother. But that may have been placebo.

I'm not sure, games worked fine without the option checked in the past and the option unchecked when I tried to uncheck it. Yeah it would have been placebo in a sense, because that option has no effect on performance whatsoever.
