Impossible to play online (err 20115)

Ok so I've read through this entire forum and I have a simliar problem to some users, except when I try to connect to brawl I get a "disconnected from network during transmission" error code 31020 or 31010. Before I posted this I had just played a couple races on mario kart wii and it worked like a charm..probably better than the wii would lol. I'm using 4.0.2 but I don't have any nand dumps because I don't actually own a real wii, nor do i have the dwc file thing. I also moved my emulator to my external which is inside my machine and changed the hkey registry to keep it that way, so it's not running from the documents folder, instead it's in a folder that holds all of my other emulators but obviously in their own directories. In short, I'm asking if I need to revert to an older revision to get the dwc file then go back to the latest build, or if I need to take a completely different approach to this?
