hi!

Me and my friend are looking for a way to play Mario strikers charged through netplay.
We can only run the game through netplay if GC controllers are set as emulated.
If we try to play emulating wii controllers, we only get a black screen and desync options.

Does anyone know how to play to any wii game through netplay emulating the wiimote?

Thank you in advance.

It was impossible to find any other information through the web.

To get Wii Remotes working on Netplay you have to sacrifice a goat or something. It was a mess, but I got it working.

Basically: Getting Wii Netplay working is only for EXTREMELY advanced users who have a lot of patience and is not even guaranteed to work for every game. I have no idea what the exact steps necessary are, but it tends to work if I make a brand new Dolphin Install with identical settings and configure the Wii Remotes the same on both sides. Sometimes.

Thank you for the support  Big Grin

I hope we or the developers can find a way to play these games through netplay. Mario strikers was one of the best game of the wii from my point of view, and one of the funniest playing with a friend.

I have had some success with Wii remotes on netplay, but I have never been able to get the nunchuk to work properly online on any game (at least for second player). I definitely would play this game online if I could get the nunchuk working.

We finally got to play Mario strikers : Big Grin

Two players at the same time through netplay emulating the wiimote as controller.
And what we had to do was exactly the way you say. Both of us had to delete all the configuration files of dolphin, and then to create identical settings.
With the same configuration of controllers. graphics and general settings, it worked perfectly, and we finally could play versus mode.
We didn't have any problem with the nunchuk emulation as the other user says.
Thank you for your help!

Which exact version of Dolphin were you using? I thought I tested everything well enough, but since it works for you, I'll have to look into this again.

Both PCs need the identical controller setup(except for the mapping) for wiimotes. So, if player 1 will use a nunchuck, both players need to set the 1st wiimote to using a nunchuck. The person who is going to be player 1 then needs to map his controls on wiimote 1. Player 2 needs to map his controls on wiimote 2, as opposed to how it works for gamecube controllers, where everybody configures his 1st controller.

I think it's my job to fix this, but i've been too lazy, sorry.

Thank you for your work Smile
The only problem now is that we aren't able to share or to save in progression of the game.
We tried to share the same gamesave, but the netplay never recognize any save; and we always have to create a new gamesave. Any solution for this?
We're very close to have complete playable version of wii games through netplay  Big Grin

The only solution is using a version from before 4.0-6xxx-ish, but that will probably give you a bunch of other problems instead.
