Importing User Data option not working on Android

I am running 5.0-16793 on Android 11 and have found out that I need to now export and import the .zip to move a .gci file from my PC. I thought it would be as easy as unzipping, adding the file, rezipping and then hitting import. This is not looking like its the case because I keep getting "this file doesn't seem to contain Dolphin user data" as an error message. Has anyone done this successfully?
