first off thanks for ur time any 1 who responds- i have a Hp Dv6t laptop with windows 7 and a i7 processor 4gb ram and gt230 nvidia card- ive been trying as many builds as i can and adjusting all the settings but cant seem to get mario galaxy to run at a playable speed- it get like 33 in some places and 20 in boss battles or large areas- thats only with the direct x plugin- its the most consistent- however ive had the open gl give me full 60fps but its way more inconsistent and about 80% of the game is super slow only small areas that are full speed- basically my question is this- is there any 1 out there running a similar setup that can help me get this game running well? i mean its the only game i want to play at the moment and its really killing me- i would have thought the i7 processor would rip the dolphin up at full speed but i do understand its optimized for dual core so im just praying there are some i7 users that can run this game near full speed- thanks for your time i know i ramble alot.. THANKS!!

not in dolphin, in your cpu, look up online on how to disable it, its probably done in the bios at startup.

I have the same set up and have been doing the same thing and I can't get the wiimote to work in dolphin. Is yours working? (I've installed various trial versions of bluesoleil, the widcomm driver and have used the windows stack. I got the farthest with windows, I pressed "a" at the mariokart start screen and then I got the "wiimote disconnected" error screen) 03-31-2010, 04:11 PM
tried that seems there is no option in the bios menu- ive heard a few people with same issue in locating how to turn it off- dang im starting to wish i just got a 2.8ghz dual core - but im optimistic some1 will do it and post how even if it may take few months-

If you are absolutely sure your BIOS doesn't allow disabling of HT, use these settings while playing.
Framelimiter off Enable dual core Enable idle skip Enable audio throttle EFB scaled copy hack Copy EFB to texture Allow efb->CPU access Disable safe texture cache Enable PAL60 eurgb mode JIT recompiler Leave everything else unchecked Also set the screen resolution in fullscreen the same as your desktop res. |
