If you really want an i7, get the i7-4790K.

The base clock is 4.0 Ghz, has a higher turbo speed (4.4 v 3.6), and can overclock farther than the 5820K (4.6 v 4.3), which means Dolphin will play more CPU intense games. It's also cheaper than the 5820K, while retaining hyperthreading for video editing.
It also costs less and draws less power, keeping it cheaper in the long run and letting it run at cooler.
It also supports more instruction sets (F16C, EM64T, SSE 4.1, FMA3)

The i5 is superior from a Dolphin standpoint because it has higher clock speeds (upwards of 5.2GhZ)
Arch
Intel Core i7 - 4510U
iHD4400
8GB RAM

I have never seen anyone run at that speed with a stable OS. BSOD usually happens at 4.8 on the 4690K, while the 4790K can get closer to 4.9 before failing

I thinked about it and consulted cpuboss.com it told that the i7-4790k really got a significant higher single core speed, than the 5820k and is just better. Well, the 5820k still got more performance and it only costs 30€ more. I don't know, the i7-4790k does not support ddr4 only 1600-ddr3, while the 5820k is able to adress ram with 2133Mhz. I'm quite unsure.

That max ddr3 1600 ram support in the cpu is just the official support. Look at all those intel socket 1150 mainboards and what kind of ram those support. There isn't a single socket 1150 cpu that supports those speeds, but still the mainboards support those. This was terribly confusing to me as well, it's just stupid.

The i7 5820k is based on the same architecture than the i7 4770k, it's just slightly upgraded. If anything, it should have more IPCs than the i7 4770k at the same clocks.

If there are more IPCs, i think its a good decision. In the greatest distress, i can still overclock my CPU.

Clock for clock they're the same, but the 4790 k has a way higher base speed and max overclock, so it'll be able to run dolphin faster.
