Yeah I agree last story is ultimate test, not SMG thats so much faster Smile
I think it needs atleast 5 ghz sandy if not more to run fullspeed on latest revisions.
But,it runs much better on older revisions...( thats how I finished it )

Pretty clear as old Dolphin revisions emulate games less accurately than newer revisions.

If you have 60€, go for a Noctua air cooler Cool

If you have 35€, go for the Thermalright HR-02 Macho Rev.A Cool

my suggestion

Yeah as I said in the other thread I will go for water cooling. The best choice definitively Smile

Corsair h-series (h60, h70, h80 etc.) look pretty easy to install and seem fairly effective if you want to go for water cooling.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X
RAM: 16GB
GPU: Radeon Vega 56

Make sure you check FrostyTech, and investigate the cooler you buy. I wish I had heard of that site before I bought my zalman. Still, #15 of the top 200 isn't so bad, and it's within a degree of the very best.

And don't buy a Hyper 212.

Cheap, effective... What more do you want?

Sure, it won't get you to 5 GHz, but mine got me to 4.4 so easily; I could probably go to 4.6 if I wanted to and still stay under 70C most of the time.

EDIT: of course this is under normal conditions (like running SMG 1/2 in Dolphin). I'm not the kind of guy to say that if my CPU can't stay under 85C on Intel Burn Test (Very High), then dangit it won't run at all! Dolphin doesn't stress the CPU enough, and I doubt The Last Story will stress it so much as to get that hot.
Desktop:
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K @ 4.4 GHz
GPU: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Factory OC'ed)
RAM: 16 GB @ 1600 MHz
Dolphin Revision:3.0, 3.0-784, 3.5, latest 3.5
